That Time I Became A Rapper
I'm not a rapper, but I have been known to drop bars on occasion. jk lol
I found out that I was pregnant with Arria a month after my 28th birthday. Needless to say, she came as a pleasant surprise! :) By the time Nick and I discovered that we were going to be parents we were well into the first trimester (I'm talking 10 weeks). Don't ask how we didn't knowI, it's a long story. lol
Once I discovered I was pregnant, my mind began to flood with new video ideas. Me being who I am, I wanted to document everything: all my pregnancy style, the baby showers, setting up the baby's room, yadaaa yadaaaa yadaaaa... At the end of the day, can you guess what actually got recorded? You guessed it! ...Nothing. Lol
After Arria's birth I decided that I would start recording again, there were so many memories to document! This time I actually did do what I planned. I recorded, recorded, and recorded some more, but released nothing. All of the videos and pictures were just sitting there, and my channel was receiving no love. I'd been away for so long that I'd developed fear paralysis: what if my content wasn't good? What if I don't have time to constantly upload? Will people even care?
Eventually I just had to get out of my head, because I realized that the longer I continued to ask those questions, the more time I was doing nothing. It was driving me to a mild depression, and I'd already been doing nothing for so long that I was beginning to feel useless. With words of encouragement and prayer from my dope-tastic younger brother and a couple of friends, I was finally able to snap out of it. The end result? A lyrical video recap of the past 2 years, aka My Life In a Song, aka The Live Rich Rap! :)
Watch, enjoy, and if you're so inclined, please feel free to tag a friend who you think would gain a chuckle or a mom who can relate to the side effects of pregnancy! lol
#LiveRi¢h, and Happy Dream Chasing!
