Mega Announcement: You Can Now Watch Us... on ROCK YOU!
Rock You Media that is!!!
I am so thrilled to announce my newest partnership as a vlogger and producer with the online digital medial platform Rock You! This is pretty major for me as God is opening up doors that I am humbly and gratefully walking into. If you've been following my blogging journey so far, then you know that at the beginning of the year I declared this the year of "immeasurably more than I can ask or imagine." The year is almost 3/4 complete, but I am just beginning to see some of the things that I've been praying for (for years, really) starting to actualize. I don't believe that any of these things are coincidence, but rather a part of God's divine plan for my life-- this is a season of HARVEST!
Rock you media is home to some amazing brands such as: Cafe Mom, Little Things, Mamás Latinas, and Revelist -- all having a combined reach of over 30 million millennial women (and moms)!!! GAAAAAHHHHHH I can't even believe what God is setting me up for right now!
I've been creating video content for the past 7 years: on my personal channel (QuEricaTV), for printed publications (Juicy Magazine) , and even some digital platforms (Black & Sexy TV). That was all prior to me becoming a mom. The truth is, since giving birth to Arria, I've been struggling creatively... not with having ideas, but with the ability to execute and carry out the many ideas I have on a regular basis (and the extras that often pop up in between). It's a blessing, but as a creative it can be a frustrating and overwhelming (even without the added pressure of being a full-time parent)!
When I learned that I was pregnant I thought my dreams, creative ambitions, and plans were bound to die... but we have been conditioned to accept this lie! For the past two years I've had so many adventures and moments that I've wanted to share-- and while I have shared some via this blog-- video and hosting has always been my true passion. Now with this partnership I can focus on coming up with ideas for fun, creative content while working with a team that can help carry out the vision to perfection-- and without the headache and stress of trying to do it myself! You guys have NO IDEA what a blessing that is, and most importantly how much more (consistent) content you'll now be receiving! Yaaaaaaay!!!
I remember when I was in elementary school (like 2nd or 3rd grade) we had a school performance where we had to act out our idols. I chose to be Oprah. Now I don't really know why-- Lord knows at 7 or 8 years old I wasn't running home at 4PM every day to watch the Oprah Winfrey show. But I think it was (and always has been) her ability to connect with people that made me admire her and the profession of being a talk show host. When I started making videos I just wanted to talk to people and get an idea of the random thoughts of everyday citizens. With each new opportunity, my aspirations and ambitions for where this "hobby" (turned talent?) could go, grew more. The growth of YouTube gave me grand ideas of having a huge audience and influence. Instagram created in me an obsession over followers and numbers. But I thank God for the wisdom to seek His perfect wisdom, and peace.... but most importantly, His purpose.
I came into this digital sphere (videos and interviews) almost by accident, but now looking back I can see that God has been keeping me in line for a purpose. I'm still in the process of seeking his guidance and learning how to operate within that purpose, but I truly believe that opportunities like this one (and other things that are in the works) are a part of that path. For years I've been hustling and waiting for "my big moment," but I'm really just starting tor realize that it's the little moments that lead to the "big ones" that matter most. This is a lesson that is really hard to appreciate as you're going through it, but it is one that deserves its shine. For all of you in the thick of it right now: ENJOY THE JOURNEY, and relish in the process. Your blessings are on the way!
I can't tell you the love I have for people, conversation, and hearing others share their stories. I consider it an immense blessing that anyone would find me interesting or remotely knowledgeable enough (I mean parenthood is like 80% winging it lol), to want to follow my platforms or want me to be a part of theirs. So I am really grateful for this chance to share my life, my vision, my purpose, but most importantly God's faithfulness in it all as it happens. When I tell you that prayer is real, I can't even begin to express to you all how the Lord is working on my behalf-- though I will definitely try (in a video recap later this year).
So many things have had to happen in my journey to get to this point, and to think-- this is only the beginning! I can't wait to see all the goodness that God has in store: the opportunities I couldn't have planned, plotted, or strategized on my own...even in my wildest dreams! And I just can't stop praising Him for it, and thanking Him for it! Make sure you're SUBSCRIBED to the newsletter, and my YOUTUBE channel, because the way things are happening right now, my end of year recap is about to be lit with blessings and a bomb-tastic testimony! You won't want to miss it!
In the meantime, I'm going to stop ranting and rambling (though I can go on and on about God's goodness); but you can catch some of my new original content with Rock You here, on their Facebook channel, and on their various brand platforms. Thank you, all and I'd love to hear your thoughts on the content once it's released. Feel free to share them below!
